It’s nearly Christmas, so let’s talk relationships, partnerships and friendships. The family you choose, not those with your genes.
I read once that a woman’s life is shaped by the man she marries. I’ve never been married but I do believe your friendships and relationships shape who you are. Good or bad. Whether you meet the people you love in a service station, in a tent or even on LinkedIn, they come into your heart to stay. Sometimes, into your life to stay too, sometimes not.
Sometimes love creeps up on you, sometimes it hits you in the face. A shock or a slow burn. However it comes, it often changes your life – for better or for worse ππ€.
Then there is the love for your child which, in my experience, surpasses all other attachments. Heartbreak is nothing compared to what you feel when your child is hurt, whatever the reason. The lioness protecting her cub, I guess!

Hope you all have a Christmas full of love, life and laughter! Treasure the people in your life that make you who you are π€. Look forward to seeing you in 2019 π.
Love Ruth x
